Vividreams ("we", "us") is a personal dream-journal & AI dream-interpretation web app. We take your privacy seriously — your dreams are sensitive and we treat them that way.
1. What we collect
Account info — email address, optional display name, and a hashed password (bcrypt; we never store the plaintext).
Your dreams — the text you write or speak, the mood/symbols/date you tag, the AI interpretation we generate, and a cached audio narration if you request one.
Payments — if you upgrade to Lucid, Stripe handles your card details on their servers (we never see or store them). We only store the Stripe session id, plan name, amount, currency, and expiration date.
2. How we use it
To run the app (auth, save your journal, generate interpretations).
To send the optional nightly reminder + monthly new-moon report emails. You can turn reminders off any time in the Journal.
To compute aggregate-only patterns for your private Insights page.
We do not sell your data. We do not train AI models on your dreams.
3. Who we share with
OpenAI — the dream text you submit is sent to OpenAI to generate the interpretation (or speech-to-text / text-to-speech). OpenAI does not use API content for training by default. See OpenAI's data policy for details.
Stripe — used for payment processing if you subscribe.
Resend — used to deliver reminder & new-moon emails (when live email is enabled).
MongoDB Atlas — encrypted at rest, used to store accounts & dreams.
4. Public sharing (only when you choose)
You can generate a public share link for any individual dream from the Interpretation page. The raw dream text is never exposed publicly — only the AI interpretation sections, your mood/date, and your first name (if you provided one). You can revoke a share link at any time.
5. Your rights
Access & export — email us and we'll send you a JSON of your data.
Delete your account — email us and we'll erase your account & dreams within 30 days.
Opt out of emails — toggle reminders off in the Journal, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
EU / UK users have rights under GDPR; California residents under CCPA.
